Dr Jennie Bailey has a background in teaching, training, information technology, and creative writing with an interest in different forms of storytelling as a way of making meaning of the world around us. Her creative-critical PhD project focussed on Rochdale, Greater Manchester UK and on how Rochdale has been represented in text and maps. As an educator and creative practitioner, she designs and delivers community creative writing sessions in Rochdale and beyond.
As a writer she has created plays for the Didsbury Players amateur dramatic society, and writes stories, poetry, and non-fictional pieces. She also works as a casual library assistant for her local council service where you’ll find her enthusing about books, information technology, music and films.
